Today I was able to work with white and black charcoal pencils. "Yesterday" I was able to try out oil pastels. Oil pastels are very messy when it gets on your fingers. Today while I was working I was able to observe my surrounding peers and I noticed that most people used colored pencil. For my artwork i'm planning on to express in the white charcoal theme of some horrors that we might either feel or see and interpret it as something else. At the moment i've got nothing on the white charcoal so far but I will do something next week.

I believe that i am a quit skillful 2D artist and trust in my skills at the most. I know for a fact that my 3D skills need lots of work but maybe in the future I can hone in on it during some sort of free time.
This year, I hope to fix my visual work. I can't always look at an object and get the detail perfectly on point which obviously bothers me. My painting skills could always be better, especially when it comes to blending two or more colors together. The risks I probably would take include wasting good pieces of white paper, shaving down erasers, and shorting my pencils. And also exploring new styles could possibly be beneficial in the future. My main goal will have to be to be able to skillfully use a new technique and be comfortable using it again on future assignments. |
