I think that my bird figure sculpture was the best sculpture and the coolest I have ever done. Why? Because that was when I first used mod podge. And it was the first sculpture I made in 9th grade. My Motion in art wire mobel is the only one that I would like to redo. mainly because it's so small, it looks really bad because its only made of wire and paper and I never got to completely finish it because it was so small, the size of it was no bigger than the palm of my hand. It got more and more difficult to bend the wire around another piece of wire when its that small. One thing that I learned in art class is that an artist always has a backup plan if the first plan doesn't work. Like in other classes if you have to do a presentation and the first idea wont work, if you have a 2nd idea then you won't be totally lost because you will have a backup option. Another thing I learned in art class and could help you in other classes is that you have to be creative and know 'what it would look like if I add this'. I wish that we could've had a sculpture competition or went as a class to an art museum, but we would have to pay for ourselves.

This sculpture looks like an eyeball that is on fire with chili peppers around it. We decided on making the eye color green. I mainly wanted to do it green because green is my favorite color and because I have green eyes.
The eyeball and the chili peppers are made from tinfoil for the base structure, next mod podge and paper towels, then I drew the details on the eye, and finally painted them both. The eyeball has a mix of yellow, red, white and orange paint to give a light warm feeling to the flames. Hanging around the eye are 4 red hot chili peppers. Fishing line are attached to the eye and the peppers, the fishing line is attached a circle of wire. In the beginning of trying to get an idea of how to make this we were searching online and my partner found a drawn picture of a red eye with fire inside. The big idea in this is to not get hot chilli peppers in your eye. One of my goals was to completely finish this sculpture. My thoughts on this sculpture is that this looks really good, nice details and it took a long time to finish but it was worth it to see it finished. Collaboration played an important part in this last project to see how you get along with working together. Some benefits in this would be getting done faster or slower and the help. Some challenges I faced would be working together, since my partner and I would both have different thoughts and opinions. It's difficult deciding on whos doing what and what's going to happen. All in all doing collaboration was a new experience for me and that I don't really working with a partner, I mainly do things solo. So this is the last big project we are doing and we have to work with partners. Well, we don't have to but it would be better that way. Anyway one of us needs to start it and the other one can finish and add something that looks like its not supposed to be there. My partner and I are doing a mobile of an green eye with fire in it (because its supposed to show that you should not get hot peppers into your eye) and surrounding it is 4 peppers. I was thinking to do so some develop craft and use stuff that you would not normally use. This sculpture is mainly trying to express what not to do in the kitchen and just in general. My partner is working on the eye and i'm working on the peppers. We started using tinfoil to get the structure. Then, we put mod podge and then finally we would paint them. Oh and we would attach fishing line to each of the peppers and one to the eye and then tie them to some wire. We aren't yet finished with it but we will soon.
